The drones dealt with in the following news story are designed for use in the USA, they can see into our homes and see into our cars. They can potentially violate our privacy by design.
Also, keep in mind that the Obama administration has legalized assassination of Americans abroad who are suspected of terrorism. It isn’t a far stretch of theory to wonder if such drones could one day be equiped with weapon force capability and be used on American citizens suspected of terrorism or, perhaps, other violent crimes on US soil one day, for we are witnessing trends that are weakening citizen liberties and strengthening law enforcement powers at the cost of our Constitutional due process of law.
Are we abandoning our Constitutional liberties and becoming, instead, a police state? What role does our collective compliance play? What role does our collective ignorance play? Are we too busy with our personal lives to take the time to insure that our children have the same Constitutional liberties we were born with? Serious questions must be asked and answered. Changing these trends requires citizen involvement.
